The new Marlton Hotel—carved out of the building where Jack Kerouac wrote The Subterraneans, among other things—boasts a three-part bar on the ground floor. You'll walk through a living room-like lounge first, with couches and armchairs, then you'll make your way to the bar proper, with liquor shelves that create a mirrored infinity of alcoholic possibilities. The beer choices are scant, but purposeful, but the wine more than makes up for it. The bartenders are casual, talkative, and knowledgable.
